An exciting full time opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join this reputable company, based in Craigieburn.

  • Attractive salary plus 12% super, shift loading and paid overtime
  • Full time role – Monday – Friday rotating day and afternoon shift
  • Day shift 6am – 2.30pm & Afternoon shift 2pm – 10.30pm

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for completing day to day and preventative mechanical maintenance activities ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:

  • Complete mechanical related maintenance activities to ensure cost effective and timely maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical plant, equipment and systems faults
  • Perform routine maintenance, project work and specialised duties in all plant areas
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as indicated by schedule

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Mechanical Engineer (Certificate, Diploma or Degree) or qualified Fitter and Turner
  • A mechanical aptitude with a “hands on” approach to assist with troubleshooting issues
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment essential
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics trouble shooting/fault finding skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts
  • Must have a clear police record, be willing to do a medical check & have full work rights in Australia
  • Proactive approach to drive continuous improvement
  • Safety first attitude – always complying to OH&S procedures ensuring a safe working environment
  • Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team
