Full-Time Permanent DC Compliance and Training Manager

About the job:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies within our Distribution Centre (DC) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to DC staff on compliance-related matters, including training sessions and workshops to enhance awareness and understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of DC employees, focusing on safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, making recommendations for adjustments or enhancements as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, managing inspections, inquiries, and reporting requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a distribution or logistics environment, with a strong focus on compliance and training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to distribution centre operations, such as workplace safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs and training initiatives, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
