Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team and perform a diverse range of functions, including coordinating logistics activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.

Location: Blacktown

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out customer service responsibilities covering logistics arrangements and coordinate with facility managers.
  • Coordinate logistics activities and operations to ensure security, efficiency, and compliance with internal control policies.
  • Manage national relationships with internal/external logistics providers and negotiate new logistics supplier agreements.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to meet agreed-upon expectations.
  • Provide practical operational assistance on supply issues, industry analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and promote behavioural safety leadership.
  • Provide detailed reports and information to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Complete defence security requirements and investigate incidents as needed.
  • Coordinate logistics requirements for customer collection requests from various sources.
  • Schedule drivers and suppliers in ERP for maximum efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with facility site managers to ensure timely arrival of collections and deliveries.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and DIFOT reports to management.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock records.
  • Adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
  • Assist in cross-training tasks and duties to other admin and sales support staff.
  • Comply with Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S), Integrated Management System (IMS), and R2 (Reuse & Recycling Standard) policies and procedures.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of WH&S, IMS, and R2 policies and procedures preferred.
  • Must be Australan Permanent resident
  • Forklift license desirable
  • Able to pass police check and pre employment medical
