We are hiring for a Warehouse Team Leader for Not-for-Profit Organization

Our client is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to combating food insecurity and ensuring that food reaches those who need it most. Their mission is to make a positive impact on the community by providing access to essential resources and supporting those facing food insecurity.

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Leader to join our mission-driven team. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of food supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise warehouse staff in daily operations, including receiving, sorting, and distributing food donations.
  • Coordinate with both volunteers, casuals, and permanent staff to maximize efficiency and productivity in warehouse activities.
  • Safely operate forklift equipment to handle and move pallets of food items as needed.
  • Knowledge in using Pronto software WMS to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and generate reports.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and organizational guidelines for handling perishable items.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify areas of need and develop strategies to address food insecurity.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff and volunteers to uphold quality standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Valid forklift license and demonstrated proficiency in operating forklift equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management software such as Pronto, along with strong computer skills.
  • Passion for serving the community and addressing food insecurity issues.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
