Technical Document Writer

A leading beverage manufacturer in Tullamarine is seeking a detail-oriented candidate for an ongoing casual assignment focused on reviewing and documenting the safety and operational procedures of manufacturing machinery. The role requires regular access to the production floor to observe equipment in operation, verify compliance with safety standards, and develop accurate technical documentation

• $53 Plus per hour
• Casual ongoing role
• Immediate start
• Dayshift 8am – 4pm – With flexibility to complete overtime

The Technical Document Writer will create, revise and maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to the production processes, quality control measures and regulatory compliance requirements.

Duties include, although not limited to:

• Conduct risk assessments, lock out/tag out and observe machinery in operation –
• Liaising with the Trade team
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental requirements
• Understand power/isolation of energy sources in manufacturing machinery – Electrical , pneumatic, hydraulic , mechanical , thermal and chemical systems
• Capable of document writing – particularly SOP’s / Work Instructions in a manufacturing and warehousing environment
• General administration duties
• Good computer and typing skills and proficient with MS Office

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Ideal candidates will have either a Mechanical/Trades background or extensive machine operating experience or Environmental, Health & Safety experience
• Previous experience writing SOP’s or work instructions highly advantageous
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong communication
• Shows initiative, with excellent attention to detail
• Easy going team player but also very capable of working autonomously
