Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer with expertise in procurement and inventory management to join our client’s food production team. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless supply chain of high-quality perishable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement activities, maintaining supply chain efficiency for perishable goods.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food industry regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock planning, and audits to meet operational demands.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to uphold Occupational Health & Safety and employee relations standards.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with consumer protection and food safety regulations.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, ideally in FMCG or food production.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, supply chain operations, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Practical understanding of HR processes and OHS legal requirements.
  • Innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and community programs.
