About the Role

Staff Australia is seeking casual seafood processing workers to work alongside our clients’ team in Lidcombe, NSW. For over 30 years our client has been proudly producing top quality seafood and this casual position is aimed at supporting our clients’ operations. The selected candidates will join our client’s seafood processing team with the responsibility for various tasks throughout the production process.

What you’ll be doing (but not limited too)

  • Sort, grade, trim, wash and weighing of seafood
  • Loading, unloading, moving, packing of inventory including frozen and fresh seafood
  • Processing raw material
  • Preparing packing material including cartons and boxes
  • Printing Labels
  • Stacking pallets
  • Data collection and recording data
  • Waste and rubbish removal
  • Cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Assisting with other general production tasks as required
  • Following Workplace Health, Safety and HACCP procedures
  • Morning shift – 5am start paying $30.98 an hour
  • Afternoon shift – 1pm start paying 35.63

What we’re looking for

  • Some experience is ideal but full training will be provided
  • High Standards of hygiene (jewellery and facial piercings will need to be removed before the start of each shift)
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time and maintain concentration on a production line
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (English)
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced team environment
  • Able to commit to a full five-day work week (Monday to Friday)
  • Able to commit to flexible work hours, sometimes on short notice
  • Own transport to and from site
  • Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to following food safety and hygiene protocols
