Our client who is an international beverage company are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Storeperson to join their team.

Reporting to the Reliability manager, you will be responsible for improving workforce productivity and maintaining quality standards. Ensuring all parts (Stock or non-stock) are required for planned maintenance, breakdowns are available on time and at an appropriate cost.

Responsibilities also include, although are not limited to:

  • Maintaining engineering records of stock movements to ensure that inventory is accurate and that there is no lost production due to ‘out of stock’
  • Running materials requirement planning (MRP) every day and creating purchase orders as per purchasing policy
  • Review re-order levels of fast-moving stocks and update materials master data as required
  • Ensure that engineering parts are purchased from approved vendors as per the Asahi purchasing policy
  • Dispatch equipment for repairs and track progress
  • Conduct cycle count and stock take of the Engineering stores to ensure stock records are accurate
  • Develop and manage store lay out to ensure efficient use of space and ease of parts retrieval
  • Component Identification in SAP & tagging
  • Create new SAP stock items in the store as per business requests and for new equipment.
  • Complete and detail all Bill of Material information in SAP
  • Day-day cost analysis for R&M budget for different lines and sending reports for the expenses incurred in the R&M budget on a weekly basis

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge in purchasing and inventory management/stores management preferably in manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of engineering operations activities and materials handling equipment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Sound knowledge of database systems including SAP
  • Forklift licence (Bonus not essential )
  • You will be a self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fantastic attitude , with a willingness to learn and exceptional attention to detail
