We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Kingsgrove team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by leading and overseeing the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage maintenance activities across the site to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to align with production requirements and Australian Standards.
Lead and mentor the maintenance team, providing guidance and fostering a strong safety culture.
Respond to and coordinate the resolution of machinery breakdowns, ensuring swift and effective repairs.
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for critical repairs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with HACCP, Quality Systems, and relevant health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and audits, addressing any potential issues proactively.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational goals and project delivery.
Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications and Skills:
Trade qualification in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance management role within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
Strong technical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, automation systems, and mechanical processes.
Experience in managing teams and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Proven ability to develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Certifications in working at heights and confined spaces are desirable.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
