The Client
Our client is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy, replenishment, and overall inventory coordination within a fast paced distribution centre.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in warehousing environments and enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and ensuring efficient stock flow.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will maintain accurate stock levels, manage cycle counts, support replenishment, coordinate stock transfers, and provide essential inventory support to Operations and Supply Chain teams.

This is a hands on role requiring strong accuracy, initiative, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control & Accuracy

  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain alignment between system and physical stock
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, damages, and variances
  • Maintain accurate records of stock adjustments

Replenishment & Stock Flow

  • Manage replenishment of pick faces
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent stock outs
  • Optimise stock placement for DC efficiency

Stock Transfers & Issue Resolution

  • Process and coordinate stock transfers in/out of the DC
  • Resolve shortages, mis picks, and system errors
  • Support internal teams with product availability queries

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain item master data and stock information
  • Generate stock reports including SOH, slow moving stock, and accuracy KPIs
  • Assist with audits and compliance documentation

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in inventory control or warehouse operations
  • Strong knowledge of cycle counting, stock flow, replenishment, and transfers
  • Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems and MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced DC environment
  • Forklift licence and WHS/CoR knowledge desirable
