Fitter

With over 50 years experience as a leading supplier in the truck manufacturing industry, we have a new opportunity for 3 x qualified fitters to join our growing team. Responsible for servicing, repairing and fitting new concrete Agi’s (mixers) to the back of trucks, alongside other general mechanical tasks as required.

Hours: 7am till 3pm Monday to Friday, overtime available.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the team, your main responsibilities will include:

• Fit and service concrete Agi’s (mixers) onto trucks from new
• Perform repairs and maintenance on existing Agi’s
• Carry out general mechanical tasks as required
• Follow direction and instructions accurately
• High level of communication with the production staff, supervisors and management team
• Follow all safe work practices to ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Working in fabrication/engineering environment

About You

To be successful in this opportunity you will possess the following:

• Fitter trade qualification
• Proven experience in a fitter role
• Good mechanical aptitude with strong understanding of hand and power tools, machinery and equipment
• Ability to work autonomously once trained
• No Agi experience required – training will be provided
• Hydraulic experience is a bonus but not essential
• Must be a quick learner and able to follow instructions
