The Role
As the Warehouse Operations Controller, you’ll manage the full order book, oversee warehouse systems, and coordinate daily workflow across multiple 3PL warehouses. You’ll ensure orders are released on time, capacity is aligned with demand, and KPI performance stays on track.
You’ll be a key support to the Warehouse Manager and a central point of communication across warehousing, supply chain, logistics, and 3PL partners.
What You’ll Be Doing
Order Book & Daily Workflow
Own the entire order book – ensuring timely and accurate order release
Coordinate and release work to 3PL partners to meet national demand
Maintain a clean, updated order book and escalate issues early
WMS Oversight
Be the lead point of contact for WMS issues, troubleshooting, flow, and optimisation
Collaborate with warehousing and supply chain teams to enhance slotting, pick paths, and storage logic
Ensure devices and systems remain up-to-date and used correctly
Capacity Planning
Forecast daily and weekly capacity requirements
Identify risks early and collaborate on adjustments
Manage daily labour needs – including casual and agency staff
Highlight improvement areas and support actions with internal teams and 3PLs
Keep supply chain, finance, sales, and logistics informed
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with finance, supply chain, and Customer Service on stock availability and grading
Support the flow of information across all operational teams
Operational Support
Assist with toolbox meetings, shift updates, and general operational communication
Support WHS, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities
Ensure alignment with our client’s processes and ways of working
Essential Career Experience
To be successful, you must have:
WMS or warehouse systems experience – strong working knowledge of system processes and troubleshooting
3PL experience, particularly working with high-demand, high-volume retailers such as Bunnings or similar
Proven experience coordinating across internal teams and 3PL providers in a fast-paced operations or warehouse environment
