The Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our client’s practice. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth patient experience and efficient administrative operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Liaison: Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Appointment Management: Schedule procedures and consultations, confirm bookings, and manage cancellations
  • Pre-Admission Coordination: Collect and verify patient details, consent forms, and health fund information
  • Billing & Claims: Process payments, manage health fund claims, and issue receipts accurately
  • Clinical Support: Coordinate patient flow, and communicate with nursing staff
  • Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate patient records in line with privacy and regulatory standards
  • General Administration: Answer phones, respond to email enquiries, and manage reception area presentation

About You

You are someone who brings professionalism, empathy, and efficiency to every interaction, with:

  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration – desirable
  • Experience using Genie software and or Gen2 – desirable
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills – essential
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities – essential
  • Familiarity with medical software and billing processes – desirable
  • A genuine passion for patient care and service excellence – essential
