We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join an innovative and advanced manufacturer of premium adhesives, sealants and coatings located in Kilsyth.
Joining the Maintenance team in a full time permanent position you will be responsible for undertaking the maintenance, repairs and works across the site.
Main Duties
Your main duties will include:
Installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment and components
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, minor improvements and works across the site, including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and components
Participate in any continuous improvement activities including workshops and discussion groups relating to quality, cost and delivery performance
Diagnosis and fault finding of malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment and components
Assist other electrical and mechanical team members to complete required maintenance work
Effect repairs using techniques including MIG/MMA/TIG welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fabrication skills, manual machinist skills (lathe and vertical/horizontal milling and bench fitting and assembly)
Ensure standard work practices and procedures are followed
Assist in the development and maintenance of accurate technical procedures and work instructions
High level of communication with the production staff, supervisors and management team
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
Fitter Trade Qualification
Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a similar role
Confined space ticket
Forklift licence (an advantage)
Observe good manufacturing practice and comply with GMP requirements
Ability to meet required time frames
Ability to work under independently and as part of a team
