LV/HV Diesel Engine Mechanic Urgently Required- Permanent Full time Role
Our client is a dynamic and leading power solutions company located in Minchinbury in Western Sydney. Due to growth of the business an opportunity has become available for an experienced light vehicle/heavy vehicle diesel engine mechanic to contribute to their close-knit team.
Position Overview: As a diesel engine mechanic, you will play a crucial role in carrying out engine servicing and rebuilds, performing maintenance and repairs, handling on-site breakdown work, and undertaking additional mechanical tasks for our valued clients. You will be working in a centrally located workshop that values teamwork and innovative ideas to uphold the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain all aspects of equipment to relevant original equipment manufacturers standards.
Conduct lubrication, greasing, and oil changes.
Dismantle and replace engine assemblies, transmissions, electrical components, and other relevant parts.
Work on a variety of construction equipment.
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services.
Demonstrate fault diagnostics using instruments for mechanical and electrical faults.
Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure proper repair completion.
Ensure all hand tools and equipment are safe, stored correctly, and maintained in a clean condition.
Complete all records and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, as directed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualified diesel mechanics.
At least 2 years post-qualified experience.
Experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
Hydraulic & Pneumatic experience is desirable.
Valid NSW driver’s license.
