LV/HV Diesel Engine Mechanic Urgently Required- Permanent Full time Role

Our client is a dynamic and leading power solutions company located in Minchinbury in Western Sydney. Due to growth of the business an opportunity has become available for an experienced light vehicle/heavy vehicle diesel engine mechanic to contribute to their close-knit team.

Position Overview: As a diesel engine mechanic, you will play a crucial role in carrying out engine servicing and rebuilds, performing maintenance and repairs, handling on-site breakdown work, and undertaking additional mechanical tasks for our valued clients. You will be working in a centrally located workshop that values teamwork and innovative ideas to uphold the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all aspects of equipment to relevant original equipment manufacturers standards.
  • Conduct lubrication, greasing, and oil changes.
  • Dismantle and replace engine assemblies, transmissions, electrical components, and other relevant parts.
  • Work on a variety of construction equipment.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services.
  • Demonstrate fault diagnostics using instruments for mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure proper repair completion.
  • Ensure all hand tools and equipment are safe, stored correctly, and maintained in a clean condition.
  • Complete all records and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, as directed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified diesel mechanics.
  • At least 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic experience is desirable.
  • Valid NSW driver’s license.
